Davis Family!

Last Friday, Cory and I had the priviledge of hanging out with Chris and Patty Davis and their son, daughter and their familys. What fun! We only had a limited windown as we were flying out that afternoon to visit my parents in San Antonio, but we had a lot of fun and got some great images!
The Davis Family.

We had a great time running around.

With their three grandchildren.

Isaiah-from the moment this guy got out of the car he was ready to smile!

Matthew- at just six weeks old!

and Owen!

It was a pretty intense day. Wardrobe had to be called in....

As well as hair and makeup (and that was just for Chris).

What follows are some of my favorites that caught my eye while I was editing so far.

Yorba Linda, CA

Thank you, Chris and Patty, for inviting us out and making this work! We really enjoyed getting to know your family better and getting to spend a fun afternoon with you guys in the park.

It was so fun to get to see your excitement to be around your family at this special time of year and I hope that you guys enjoyed a very special Christmas together!

Merry Christmas! and Pictures of the Burns extended family!!!

Merry Christmas everyone!!! I am in San Antonio Texas with my family for Christmas and we are having a wonderful time!!! This has been a great time to reflect on the reason for the season- Christ!!! We have had some great times in God's word thinking about the many great things that He has done for us by sending his son. One thing we have been challenged to do this Christmas is to "ponder all of these things in our heart" like Mary did in Luke 2:19. Take some time this Christmas to reflect on what God did in sending Christ. It will keep you busy and fill your heart with joy!
My dad got my mom a wireless router for Christmas so I am finally able to blog some long overdue photos!!! These were taken really quickly at Scott and Melissas house a couple of weeks ago. They had their extended family over and it was a great time to snap a few quick photos.
Enjoy!

The Lemens!

On Sunday Cory and I headed to the park to spend some time with the Lemen family. The Lemen's family size grew substantially some months ago with the addition of Sierra. Here are some of my favorites that caught my eye while editing!
The Fam. Love the choice of brown!

Sierra did a great job for most of the time of sitting up really well and looking in the general direction of the camera. With very young children, it is always a toss-up as to what their mood will be, but Sierra did so well!

It's official, she's a cutie...

Mr and Mrs

I love capturing the real, candid emotions within families. Nothing quite like the bond between mother and child.

Corona, CA- Ryan and Jenn- thanks so much for spending some of the afternoon with us! We loved hanging out with you guys and getting some great images!!!

There are some things that are better than sweet pictures of the Burns family. Namely more sweet pictures of the Burns family.

Their Name is Burns

Wow! (And no, I don't mean World of Wings Wingery). Cory and I had an absolute blast with the Burns family today! We scouted out a new location and loved it! What follows herein is what you get when you mix a perfect day, tasty light, and an awesome family that is up for making some seriously sweet photos!
This is the "warm up" session (the full session is to follow after Chloe's abs develop so she can sit up on her own-let's get on some situps!!!).

Kale Burns, the quintessential child model. Here he is as Tobey Maguire.

Hey Maddie she's so fine, she's so fine she blows our mind, hey Maddie....

Cory said this might be her favorite color image from today's shoot.

We have Melissa to thank for that. She's starting a YouTube channel called "What to Wear."

Here is Melissa with the infamous Chloe in some sweet afternoon light. Infamous? Infamous!

What can I say?

Scott wanted a picture of him with his Bride, so I was happy to oblige!

"The Feet"- this one's for Ken and Beth

I think Scott was pretty excited about this photo. There have been a plethora of hops penned up inside that man for far too long.

CORONA, CA

Today's time with the Burns family was soooooo much fun. I feel like I want to be the one to say thank you to the Burns because Cory and I enjoyed the time so much! There is something about getting out on a beautiful day with an awesome family to take fun pictures that capture life and relationship that is so thorougly enjoyable and strangely relaxing to me (even though I am usually tired at the end).

This time was extra special even more than regular due to how much the Burns mean to Cory and I. We are so encouraged by them and thank God for His rich blessing of placing them in our lives!

A Note to Future Clients

If you like the photos that you see here, know that this is just a "sneak peek." I like to save the best images for my families to enjoy on their own when they get their CD. I hopefully will be posting some of my fave's from the Molsberry and Burns families later this week after they both have their cd's. If you are thinking about getting some lifestyle family photos taken for Christmas cards, etc BOOK ME NOW as my schedule before the holidays is getting busier and busier. The cool thing about my blog being my only form of advertising right now is that what you see is what you get! Everything I post on here is my most recent work! I would love to talk to you about capturing your family as well.

Meet the Molsberrys

On Sunday, we had a crazy fun session with the Molsberry family! In true Molsberry fashion, it was a festival of conviviality and Cory and I really enjoyed it. Mark is on High School staff with us at the church so we knew him fairly well before the shoot, but did not know his family as well. However, I knew if they were anything like Mark, it was sure to be a fun time full of energy! It didn't dissapoint.

A Papa Sandwhich.

Emma- even though she is the smallest, I think she has the most energy! What a cutie!

Ethan-aka Tobey Maguire

Emotion. Captured.

What a good lookin' kid!

One of my favorite things to do towards the beginning of a shoot is ask the family to jump. It loosens everyone up, releases the hounds of fun, and makes for some pretty great photos!

The Molsberrys-thank you so much for spending time with us! We had a blast!
